Amirmohammad Rahimizadeh is a PhD candidate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at McGill University. He completed his bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology, Iran and his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at McGill University. He joined the Structures and Composite Materials Laboratory in 2017 under the supervision of Professor Larry Lessard. His doctoral research investigates recycling solutions for glass fiber composite waste from end-of-life wind turbine blades. He has published several articles on manufacturing and micromechanical analysis of recycled short glass fiber composites and their application in 3D printing. In 2019, his PhD project was recognized as an innovative design project and received the 3D Hubs student award.
