Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Researcher
Nanya Li, Alexander von Humboldt postdoctoral researcher at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, received his PhD from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 2017. He has published 20 papers, 26 granted Chinese patents and 1 issued international patent covering 3D microwave printing technologies, prototype equipment and composite microwave curing techniques. He developed the microwave heating and curing technologies for multidirectional carbon fiber reinforced thermoset composites, directed and participated several projects from the AVIC aircraft industry, Jiangsu innovation programme and the national Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He won the 1st Prize of Innovation in the “1st MIIT Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award” organized by Ministry of Industry and Information (MIIT) of China and 3rd Poster Award Prize in the “4th Super Lightweight Composite Wing” organized by SAMPE China. Currently, his research interest is the rapid microwave additive manufacturing of continuous carbon fiber reinforced bionic plastics. Several key challenges have been solved, including the resonant microwave applicator, multiphysics calculation model of the 3D microwave printing, printing temperature control strategy under fast and variable printing speed and printing path planning for continuous fiber. He is also a member of AMPERE (Association for Microwave Power in Europe for Research and Education).
